Firmware 5.0.14, you can check through the Bose Music app on your phone, had fixed my problems so far. Back to where I was a few weeks ago.

Moderators any update on the permanent fix please? Mine is still not addressed even after 5.0.14 update. I still need to reboot soundbar to get it to working. I have Sony XBR77A9G.
Appreciate if someone can acknowledge that a fix is coming.

Yes. And i was hoping moderators can pass on the msg to the technical teams. Also just to clarify my previous statement, i have to reboot if I accidentally turn off TV and soundbar through bose remote. If I switch them off with TV remote then upon restarting again the soundbar stays connected for audio but doesn’t respond to TV remote volume signals.
Mine has worked all day. Sony TV. Just setup rule on Google WiFi to block internet access to the soundbar. Better to be able to watch TV than have it access TuneIn. No more firmware for me!
How does one do that exactly? I never want another firmware update ever again.

What a great idea, will be doing the same
It seems that the latest FW 5.0.14 has fixed the handshake issue for HMDI arc. Mine has worked consistently for a couple of days even if its been shut off for a while.
