Surround Speakers 700 connection with Soundbar 700

I just realized that only one pairs of  Surround Speakers 700 can be connected to Soundbar 700. Please let me know if my understanding is correct?

if yes, is there any read map to allow two pairs of Surround Speakers 700 (that is 4 speakers) can be allowed to be connected to Soundbar 700.

I would love to buy and add one more pair of Surround Speakers 700 to my soundbar 700.

Please suggest.

No, and there is no reason if you could.  It is a 5.1 system, not 7.1.  There is no way to make it a 7.1 system.  You can, however, add a second subwoofer to make it a 5.2 with the same sounds coming out of both subs.  I guess that would qualify as 5.2.

@Xyz987

Disagree!

isn't 5.1 could include 5 standard speakers?

Lust like Lifestyle 600 or 650

Thanks,

Disagree all you want.  The Soundbar has front left, center, and right, 3 discreet channels.  The rear surrounds add rear surround left and right.  The Bose Acoustimass 700 adds 0.1 subwoofer.  That's 1 2 3 4 5 plus 0.1 equals 5.1 Dolby Surround.

Re: Surround Speakers 700 connection with Soundbar 700

More to the point, the Soundbar only has a certain amount of transmitters.  It can currently support 2 Bass Modules and 1 pair of Rears.  It will never have more transmitters so the only way to add more speaker would be through Wifi (Bose Music).  Bose believe this is a good way to add speakers around the home, but not to add speakers to the same zone.  I agree with that as you're better off with dedicated rear speakers that can be smaller as specifically designed for the purpose.

It may be that future soundbars will have this capability, but unlikely the SB700 will
