Unable to update new firmware for soundbar 500

Hi,
I recently bought soundbar 500. I see new updates are now available for this product but when i compare my firmware and latest one. I see its not updated to latest one. I haven’t seen any indication on soundbar. Kindly help.

Hi Hector,

I was able to update my soundbar through manual process . Thanks for assistance.

Hi SantoshM29, 

 

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community. The Soundbar can take up to 24-48 hours to detect the new software so that it can auto update the system. 

 

If you would like to manually update your system you can factory reset it and this should trigger the update. (Please note a factory reset will require you to set up the system from factory settings) 

 

This can be done via: 

 

  1. Remove the product from your Bose account.
  2. On the remote, simultaneously press and hold the Power and Skip forward buttons for 5 seconds. The soundbar reboots and, when complete, the light bar glows solid amber

Thank you for your reply. I will try this method but i feel it should not take this much time to detect updates.
