halo fellow bose users. I have a problem. I have a Bose 700 with sub and rear speakers. now my problem is that when i turn on the radio (tunenl) in morning the volume is loud. before I turn off the radio in the evening I set it to the volume that I would like, but the soundbar does not remember that. i have already tried everything factory reset contacted bose customer service and the soundbar has also been sent back for repair but the problem remains and is really irrational. Hope you can help me.
Welcome to the community!
Thanks for reaching out, I am sorry that you're facing issues with the volume level of your Soundbar 700.
Can you let us know all the troubleshooting you have already attempted so we do not re-advise you?
What product model do you have your Soundbar connected too? Are you also connected via HDMI or Optical?
I look forward to hearing from you.
I have tried everything. the soundbar (700) is connected with an optical cable. the soundbar has already been offered for repair once and got a new soundbar last week. the problem remains. it is something software mediocre
Thanks for the update! The fact it's happening even after replacing the soundbar definitely is odd!
I do have a couple of other questions for you to get a better idea of what is happening when you are using the soundbar.
As you mentioned this change happening when the soundbar is turned off overnight, how are you turning the soundbar off? Are you using the remote, voice commands, or turning it off at the outlet?
Have you noticed the same thing happening when you turn the soundbar off at other times or from other sources, or does it only happen with TuneIn when left overnight?
When you set the volume in the evening, how are you doing this? Is this with the remote, the app, or with voice controls? If you were to check the app after setting the level and in the morning, would the app show the same volume level at these times or does it change?
Let me know as I'd love to get to the bottom of this with you!
I've already tried everything. adjust the volume with the remote control and the app. it happens to everything including TV, spotify and radio. I'll try to upload a movie tonight so you can see what happens.
When I turn on my sound bar 700 the volume level goes to 69 by default. However if I turn on through the tv remote the volume level is normal. It seems whenever I use the universal remote to turn on the sound bar along with the tv the volume goes up very high to 69. This was not the case till couple of weeks back.
the tv I am using is Sony X82.

I have the same issue - volume is low when I turn the tv off at night next morning when I turn it on the volume is at 69.. I’ve reached out to Bose too and all they’ve tried to do is blame someone else in the household for turning it up. I explained I was the last one to watch tv last night and when I turned it off the volume was 24 when I turned it on today it’s 69. There’s so many issue with this soundbar it makes it not worth the money. Bose’s sad attempt to use apps and have software updates is what’s making their product garbage
Definitely agree one of the software upgrades seems to have triggered this issue. I have been using this sound bar for a year now and wasn’t facing this until a few weeks back! Tried all options to sort it but to no avail 😞

I have a similar problem lukę in previous topics. I couldnt find the solution there, and by the Bose customer care.
Everything was fine until the new update has been installed. Everytime when I watch tv with my family, we set the volume by remote to low level, beacause of small kids in my house. When we go to sleep we turn out the tv by its own remote and the soundbar with bass module by the bose remote. Then we switching off the power on the power strip. Next day when my wife is turning tv for our kids, she turn on the power on the power strip, and turn on the tv by its remote and Soundbar by Bose remote. When
the soundbar turns on its set by max level volume....!!!!! Not like we left it last evening! That type of Soundbar should save the level of volume.. Please help
