bose soundbar 700getting Amber/orange four times issue

Hi Community members,

 

I am facing issue with Alexa in Bose 700 and 500. When ever i say Hey Alexa i see orange light bliked 4 times and stop. Nothing is coming after that. I tried to uninstal Alexa app and installed again but no use.

 

Do any one facing simillar issue if any one have solution could you please let me know.

Hi Marhand, 

 

Thanks for posting and updating me on this. 

 

This means that either the Voice Assistant or Internet Connection is unavailable. I would recommend that you reset the Soundbar via: 

 

  • Turn the soundbar off
  • Unplug the soundbar power cord from the power outlet
  • Wait 30 seconds
  • Reconnect the power cord
  • Wait 30 seconds for the system to reboot

 

I would recommend that you also remove the Soundbar from the Bose Music App and reconnect the Soundbar with the app. 

 

Please update me on the result of this.

Hi Marthand, 

 

Thanks for posting and updating us on this. 

 

Is this Red LED on the right longer LED or on the left LED? If the light is on the left this means that the mic is muted and can be unmuted by tapping the mic symbol on top of the soundbar. 

 

Please update me on the result of this.

Hi Hector,

The light is coming in middle. I guess its not the mic issue it is alexa issue. When ever i say Hey alexa this light appears and after that nothing will come. It use to work two days back.

As you stated in your first post that the light was orange and flashed, can you please now confirm if the red led flashes or is a solid light?

Its flashing light four times. Do i need perform factory reset?

Hi Hector, Yes your right it’s internet issue. I have gone thru the steps and it’s working fine now thanks a lot. After this I recollect that my Bose 500 Alexa was not working due to wifi bandwidth then I changed speaker location to catch wifi network then it was worked. I totally forgot about that. Thanks again.

Hi Hector,

 

one question now Alexa can listen to me but if I ask any question it is ready to play but immediately it will say device is offline. Any help on this.

Thanks for posting and updating me on this. I am glad to hear that this issue is now resolved! 

 

I am sorry to hear that Alexa isn't working correctly for you. I would recommend that you remove Alexa from the system and reconnect this can be done via: 

 

  • In the Bose Music app, tap the My Bose icon  in the upper-left

  • Select the product from which to remove an assistant

  • Tap the product image in the bottom-right

  • Tap Settings > Voice Assistant and select the assistant:

  • Tap Remove Account

 

I look forward to hearing back from you regarding this and would encourage the community to please post on this thread if they have found any alternative methods to resolve this.
