Im confused, as according to the release notes of the latest software update they have fixed this, yet its just as bad as ever.
Although im not particularly surprised especially after yet another update has been pulled.
Hopefully someone at Bose @Brandon_M is actually paying attention to what lots of us have been telling you guys for ages, quality control on the software is awful.
Stop trying to implement new features and just fix all the stuff that is broken, there is a vast array of faults.
Hi Brandon,
two weeks passed - do you have an answer yet?
Dear Soundtouch-App-Support-Team,
from your BOSE Knowledge-Center:
[...]
Recommended models
For best results with your SoundTouch® system, WD MyCloud or Synology NAS drives are recommended.
However, many other NAS drives will also work. (Please note: SoundTouch® systems are not fully DLNA compliant and may or may not have full functionality with other models.)

I'm using a NAS-Drive by Synology and the search works only for songs, NOT for albums and Artists!!!!
We all would appreciate it, if there were any reaction to this problem.
What kind of support is this?
@bose I'm also interested in a solution to this problem.
This problem is known for at least 2,5 years!
Hello Mods 🙂
What about this issue? Can you please give us an update?
I'm using Minim Server now - but still can't just search because the system needs an exact match (ex. search for bose -> no result, Bose -> one result, BOSE -> two results). This ist just crazy. Searching regardless of a capital letter works perfect for the iTunes library.
Thanks
Central
I've given up using the Bose app, i just bluetooth from DS audio,
Mods, perhaps you should stop recomending Synology if your system doesn't work with it.
Impressive, almost a year now and no fix.
I've just postponed my investment in Bose products so far and got me
a Beyerdynamic DT-1990, a ifi Audio IDSD nano black and a Pioneer XDP-30R DAP instead.
And I won't invest in Bose equipment until they fix a few major problems that persists now for a very long time.
There are enough music toys out there for me to overcome my desire to upgrade my multiroom setup 🙂
