Re: Acoustimass 300, SoundTouch 300, and reports of low bass

Good bass doing the following:

  • Downgrade V14
  • Reset ST300 factory settings
  • Pair AM300
  • SKIP AdaptiQ
  • Change default Bass setting to 1

Bass sounds good and now I can wait for a nice and working update from Bose

Easy workaround.
Reset to factory settings as per manual.
Then, add VI300 as usual (do not add AM300)
Run adaptiq
Once done, add AM300. Don't run adaptiq a second time.
Works a treat, sounds amazing.

Thanks for your input.

I can't deny that this really makes a big difference... it's not the normal procedure but I would ask everyone with v16 to try this asap and let us know your experience...

Re: Acoustimass 300, SoundTouch 300, and reports of low bass

you can reinstall the V14 ...

have tested the V15, V16. no comparison to V14 ...

no idea what Bose has improved.

Try this and let us know:

1-firmware v16 installed
2-Reset to factory settings as per manual.
3-add/pair VI300 as usual (do not add/pair AM300!).
4-Run adaptiq.
5-add/pair AM300. Don't run adaptiq a second time!.

I think I'm gonna upgrade to 16.xxx again and will give it a try!

If it don't work, I gonna downgrade again 🙂

Are you doing this on v15 or 16? Didn't do much for me on v16

Sorry just went back through the thread and saw you are usIng v16. I guess every setup is different. Really didn't notice much effect.
