Amazon prime "not supported of this platform in my region"

Hello,

I just subsribed to amazon prime solely because it was listed as an option on my Bose sound touch app, but it says it is not supported in my region? Is there a fix for this? If not, I'm just curious as to why it is listed as an option on the app. Please let me know so I can cancel my subscription, or switch to Sonos t see if that works. Thank you,

Luke

Re: Amazon prime "not supported of this platform in my region"

Hello Luke,

Thanks for confirming that.

The SoundTouch app for iOS must be at least 12.0.6 and the SoundTouch app for Android must be at least 12.0.9.

To add Amazon Music/Prime as a service on the SoundTouch app please follow the below instructions:

  1. In the SoundTouch app, choose the menu icon in the upper left.
  2. Choose "Add Service"
  3. Choose "Amazon Music":
  4. To create a new account, choose "CREATE AMAZON ACCOUNT" and enter the required info.
  5. To sign in to an existing account, choose "ADD ACCOUNT," enter the account credentials in the browser window that opens, choose "CONTINUE" and then choose "OPEN".

You can also find a video on how to do this here.

If you are still unable to access Amazon Music/Prime after following these instrcutions please let me know and I would love to assist you.

Kind Regards,

Vicky W

Re: Amazon prime "not supported of this platform in my region"

Hi Vicky,

I’ve done all of that, and did it again, but it still says it’s not available on my region.

Even one the video you sent, it says “only USA” but expanding soon.

Please let me know as soon as possible, as I would like to try and return my speakers if this is not going to work.

Thank you,

Luke

I am currently logged in and using the Canada store through my app, is that what you mean? If not please let me know what else that could mean.

Re: Amazon prime "not supported of this platform in my region"

Thanks for confirming that Luke, please can you try the following for me?

Transfer Your Amazon Account

To transfer your Amazon account from your current Amazon website to your local Amazon website:

  1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices and click the Preferences tab.
  2. Under Country Settings, click Change.
  3. Select or enter your address, and then click Update.
  4. If you are eligible to purchase digital content from another Amazon website, follow the onscreen prompts to learn more about what will happen if you transfer accounts.
  5. When you're ready, select the option to transfer your account to complete the process.

Further details can be found here.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind Regards,

Vicky W
