Ceiling Speakers 791

Hi, I have a set of Bose ceiling speakers ( 791 I think they are, biggest ones ) but don't currently have wifi at home due to us not living there as we're having building work done. Is there a way of using my personal hotspot or my wife's to create a network to connect speakers to so we can use them as we very eager and also we'd like to check they work ok. Thanks

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the question.  Are you using the 791's with an SA-5 amplifier?  If so, you can use Bluetooth to the SA5 to play audio to the speakers.  The method of using a wireless hotspot, while not technically supported by Bose, may work for you.

No speakers are showing up when I search for Bluetooth devices on my iPhone?

Hi Gary,

Do you have the SA-5 setup on the hotspot?  From there you can get into the Bluetooth settings on the SoundTouch app and make the system discoverable, which can then be seen by your phone.
