Connecting a Turntable to the Bose Soundtouch 120

I would like to know how to connect a turntable to the Bose Soundtouch 120 system and how to get it to play through the Bose speakers. I have connected the red and white ports at both ends, but dont seem to know which mode to select on the Remote control to get it to play the sound.

Re: Connecting a Turntable to the Bose Soundtouch 120

Hi Shaan,
By default anything connected to the red & white RCA jacks on that system will play through the "TV" input on your SoundTouch 120. This is something that you can reassign to a different label if you want (AUX, GAME, ETC.) using the Bose System menu.

  1. Press the "system" button on the remote to activate the settings menu on the front of your media console
  2. Use the up/down arrows to find the option for "SELECT ANALOG INPUT"
  3. Use the left/right arrows to select the name of the input you want to assign the turntable to.
  4. Press the "exit" button on the remote to leave the menu

Note that some older turn-tables may need to be connected with a separate phono premaplifier. These devices would connect in-line between the turn table and your Bose system to boost the signal up to line-level. Newer turn-tables often have this preamplifier already built-in.
