Connecting turntable to soundtouch

Recently purchased a Soundtouch 30 and a soundtouch wireless link adapter.  Soundtouch all set up and able to access the music currently held on a laptop (we do want to put it on a nas though eventually).  Husband has a large collection off vinyl which is played on a project turntable connected to a technics system (20+ years old).  We were assured that it would be possible to connect to soundtouch but struggling.  We managed to connect so that the digital music could be played through old system but this wasn't what my husband wanted.  Is it possible to play the vinyl through the soundtouch speaker and if so how?

Re: Connecting turntable to soundtouch

Hi Craftyq,

Thanks for the question.  Is the turntable connected to a pre-amp?  Is that what the Technics system is?  More than likely a pre-amplifier will be needed in order to boost the level of audio coming from the turntable.  Do you happen to have model numbers for the turntable and Technics devices?

Thanks,

Brandon
