Dropping wifi

I have two soundtouch 10s, 1 is in the room with my Bt router. Every time I leave them on standby for a long period of time (06-24 hours) they fall off my WiFi network, I have to power down the units to get them to reconnect, I have tried all that is suggested on old forum searches, same problem keeps happening.

Hi Kstor, 

 

I'm assuming you've tried rebooting your router and the SoundTouch 10s. What is the make and model of your router? If you are using one of the Home hubs, can you try to disable enhanced UPnP security to see if that solves the issue for you? To do this:

 

1. Open a web browser and go to bthomehub.home

2. Choose “Settings”

3. When prompted, log in to the router to access the settings (Note: Password change / creation might be required if this is the first time logging in)

4. Choose “Advanced Settings”:

 

     § For HomeHub 3:

i. Choose “Port Fowarding”

ii. Choose UPnP

iii. Set “Enhanced UPnP Security” to “Off”

 

     § For HomeHub 4 and 5:

i. Choose “Firewall”

ii. Choose “UPnP”

iii. Set “Enhanced UPnP Security” to “Off”

 

5. Choose “Apply” to save changes (Note: Some router models might reboot to allow the change to take effect)
