I am having the same exact issue. The good news is that after the first occurrence, no issues. However, not sure what changed as it was working perfectly and then not. I am using a Samsung TV and it is was maybe an update provided by them, but can't confirm or deny.
Thank you for reaching out for help with this. Sometimes CEC conflicts with other devices. Try changing the HDMI CEC setting to "Alternative" or "Off" and seeing if the issue goes away. Here is how to do that:
