No sound white square since last update

Hello,

 

the infamous white square is back (at leat on ST 20,30 the ST10 just stops working nothing to see).

After reboot and reconnect to the network fixed this BUT ... it keeps hapening over and over again.

I also have a hint what is causing this: the apps (IOS and MACos). It happens everytime I use them, no matter what I do with it (switch on/off, change preset) ... If I only use the HW buttons no problem ... it runs stable.

Any hope this get fixed soon ?

Thank you for posting and welcome to the community.

 

I'm sorry to hear this is happening. Does this happen with all music services including music library? Or is this happening with only certain ones? When you open the SoundTouch application, is there any error message that appears?

Hello, thanks for responding.

 

I never use the music library. Mostly Internet radio, very rarely Deezer. I did not use it on the Bose for a while. 

This happens when I use the app to switch off or change volume or change program. It does it on all my Soundtouch (10,20,30). As soon as they have been "commanded" by the app (IOS or MAC) they don't connect to internet radio next time they are turned on. No way to change channels, with app or hardware buttons.

 

The apps don't show any error message

 

If happened from time to time before but now it is systematic.

Router is AVM fritzbox 7390 and AP AVM fritzbox 7580. all Running curent OS

I have this configuration for years now and it was working fine since last firmware update of the Bose and APP

Hi everybody,

 

sorry for my bad english language knowledge.

 

I’ve exactly the same problem than stef_bib.

 

I’ve done electric reset on my soundtouchs (2 times st20) and force software download.

My Soundtouch are connected with lan cable (no wifi).

 

The problem is present on all my internet radio BUT not if I use Tunein radio !

 

I hope this information help you to find the cause of this recent problem

the problem occur with all internet radios except via TuneIn.

I don’t think this is router problem but can be linked to to the ios app usage.

Have you try to reproduce the problem like explain ?
