Apple Music has not been a confirmed music source that will be available for SoundTouch. If there is any new information on additional music services, we will let the community know.
The reason being for the Series 1 and 2 SoundTouch system not being available for the update is a limitation of hardware. If there is any new updates, we will absolutely let the community know.
After reading your reply I have an add. question. I'm also owner of a cinemate (with ST capabilities: wifi & Bluetooth). Can/will this system also receive a retrofit for Airplay 2 compatibility?
The result is that I can group the Amplifier and cinemate by using the iOS control panel? And the Bose 500 can be added to the group while using Airplay 2. So both ecosystems can play together?
From the available information regarding Airplay 2, it appears that you can group speakers using the iOS control panel. That being said, we won't know for sure until we can test which we'll be able to do once the update is released for the new products. Stay tuned!!
