It would depend on what else you were trying to play throught the Monitor. (but I'm not sure why you're talking about the SA-5 in the subject that would be to get music into other areas - no output apart from speakers but 3 inputs)
From a quick look you can plug in the HDMI from the bar into the TV, but that only gives you 1 HDMI input into the bar and 1 Optical (supposed to be from teh TV, but something like a PS3 you can output video to the TV and Optical to the SoundBar.
To be honest with that setup you would be better with the LIfestyle as they have the console that plugs other HDMIs into and acts as a switch for the TV.

Thanks for your inquiry. As Morlock mentioned, the answer will depend entirely on what you are connecting to, and what your intended use scenario is. Could you provide us with some more details on how are you are planning to use the SoundTouch 300, SA-5, and Pioneer Elite Monitor? Also, include details on any other devices that would be used.
The SoundTouch 300 was engineered to be used as either a stand-alone soundbar, or with the Virtually Invisible 300 Wireless Surround Speakers, Acoustimass 300 Wireless Bass Module, or both. This system is not intended to be used with other 3rd party speakers.
The SA-5 Amplifier is intended to power 2, or in some cases, up to 4 passive stereo-speakers. This can be used as an expansion zone for playing SoundTouch music services in multiple areas of your home, or as a standalone system to provide SoundTouch music services or other sources connected via the available AUX input.
