SoundTouch 20 keeps losing connection

My soundtouch 20 is continually losing connectivity. The white wifi light stays lit, even the station appears on the screen but here is no sound. It also fails to appear in the App. This happens every day, when I try reconnect it to wifi manually it won't work but if I unplug and plug back in it works fine and seems to remember all the original settings. It has become unuseable and I don't know what to do. Not what I expected from a nearly £400 speaker - out of warranty.

Have 3 soundtouch 10's on the same network and they work fine.

I had similar issues when 5Ghz and 2,4 GHz WiFi have been available. Turning off the 2,4 Ghz WiFi solved my issues.

I have the same issue. At least once a week I need to do a new setup to link to the wifi, this happened since I got a new router.

Obviously not an option to spend 10 minutes each week to setup the connection. Is there anything possible to solve this or better to change to another system?

Sorry to hear about the troubles.  What brand/model is your new router?

 

Have you tried a factory default of the SoundTouch 20 since you got the new router?
