SoundTouch 30 series 3 not getting turned on

Hi,

I purchased SoundTouch 30 series 3 in august from Mexico. After coming back to India, I connected my device and was surprised to see that it is not getting turned on. I visited the authorised service centre and they claim that the repair willl not be covered under warranty and will be chargeable. This is really disappointing that bose is not ready to claim the international warranty for the same.

Re: SoundTouch 30 series 3 not getting turned on

Hi Neha25s,

I'm sorry to hear that your system isn't working. The SoundTouch 30 is not a dual voltage system. If your system was purchased in Mexico, it would have been rated for 120 V. Since India is rated at 240 V, this system will not work unless used with a step down transformer rated at 150 W or larger. Have you tried the system with a transformer? Did the service center advise that the unit was damaged from being plugged into an outlet with the wrong voltage?

Thank you
