SoundTouch 300 digital version of remote in app

I just purchased the SoundTouch 300 and would like to not have to use the remote to switch inputs from TV to other sources and back.

 

in fact having the app be able to update all settings capable from the remote would be idea in case the remote stops working or so we can use the app as the primary interface for all things
