Soundtouch 30 Not Connecting to Network after Firmware Upgrade 17.0.8

I have just upgraded our Bose Soundtouch 30 firmware to the latest version 17.0.8. It now does not connect to any network or send out its own "Bose" wifi network.

AUX Reset - NOT WORKING

No.1 and Vol Minus - NOT WORKING

Connecting with USB cable - NOT WORKING

Nothing is working!!!!!

Hi leenesbitt,

Thank you for responding. Can you try the steps in THIS article to see if they help to get your speaker connected and working again. If they don't, can you try to re-flash the system with software using the thumb drive procedure mentioned HERE? Please let us know.

Kind Regards

Re: Soundtouch 30 Frozen after system upgrade

Hi leenesbitt,

Sorry to hear about this.  Have you tried unplugging the power for 30 seconds, then plugging back in?  Once you do this, what does the LED and the display on the front of the system do?

Best,

Brandon

Re: Soundtouch 30 Frozen after system upgrade

Hi Brandon,

Doing more research it is apparantly a firmware problem on Bose's side. We have had no problems with our network and this Bose system connecting, and all of a sudden after this firmware update, nothing happens. Are Bose aware of this??

Re: Soundtouch 30 Frozen after system upgrade

Hi leenesbitt,

I understand the frustration, and we'd certainly like to help. We certainly hear SoundTouch users reporting problems here in the community, but this is where we'd like you all to come for help! We've also heard from many users that their systems are working just fine after the update. I personally have a SoundTouch 30 at home that is connected and working great after the latest update. That being said, we'd like to go through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can't figure out why you are experiencing this issue, and get it resolved for you.

You mentioned that you've already done an AUX reset, a factory default reset (volume - and 1) and attempted setup with a USB cable with a computer. This is very helpful information. Thank you for this.

After disconnecting the system from power and reconnecting, what color is the Wi-Fi indicator on the system? Is it blinking or solid? Please let us know, and we will be happy to move on to the next steps with you.

Best regards,

Brian
