The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Soundtouch 300 bluetooth not connecting

My soundtouch 300 that is about 5 years old is no longer connecting to my phones via bluetooth. This is all we use it for as we do not have it connected to the tv or the internet. The phone finds the soundtouch and pairs but the soundtouch does not pair back with the phone? I have rebooted and tried several different phones.

It has worked great up until the last month

I have tried to restart everything and I also plugged the soundtouch in to my laptop via the Setup A micro usb but it was not discoverable on the laptaop. I have no idea how to update the firmware or link the soundtouch to the internet?

Any suggestions?  TIA

Re: Soundtouch 300 bluetooth not connecting

Hello Rodfarther,

Thanks for reaching out, I would love to try and help.

I can understand why this would be frustrating. I note you say you have reset everything, is that including completing the steps in this thread here? If so, can I please ask what LED light is showing on the front of the soundbar when this happens? The steps here will show you how to update the speaker and here will show you how to pair the speaker with your WiFi. Can you please let me know if this helps at all and if you can pair it with WiFi?

Re: Soundtouch 300 bluetooth not connecting

Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and select the cog-wheel icon next to the Bose Bluetooth device. Then, select "Unpair". On the Bose remote control, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the Bluetooth indicator on the soundbar blinks blue. ... Select the SoundTouch 300 soundbar from the device list.Wendy’s Survey
