Soundtouch 300 sound flickering

Hello,

 

I've recently purchased the Bose Soundtouch 300 w/ the Acoustimass 300 Sub. Loving the sound quality, but disliking the small annoying issues coming up. The other night I was watching Dunkirk with the new set up and noticed during loud action scenes (i.e. explosions, planes flying close by, etc...) the sound would cut out for about 5 seconds and then come back on. I tried switching optic cables, but the same thing happened when I played the movie. I've played PS4, using the setup, and watched TV with no issues.

 

Has anyone else run into this issue?

 

Info:

Soundtouch 300 is currently running Software Version 17.0.8

 

Current Setup:

TV: Sony Bravia x900e

HDMI connections: PS4, Sony Blu-ray, and Nintendo Switch are all plugged in directly to the TV.

SoundBar: Connected using optics cable. (Tried HDMI ARC, but was running into the TV not recognizing the soundbar)

Hello jhoberney,

 

Thank you for posting. What are you streaming this from(device) when this occurs? Is your router in the same room with SoundTouch 300? Can you test by connecting a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from the SoundTouch 300 to the Acoustimass 300 and see if the drop out still happens?
