Soundtouch Stereo JC - No Airplay anymore!

Hallo everyone,

since a couple of days or maybe weeks (just saw it yesterday when I needed Airplay) my speaker is not listet anymore. 

I did the "reset", unplugging for 30sec and the hold the control button for 10 sec while powering up again. But nothing so far. This way helped a while ago, when I had this issue once. But now its a different case and this way doesn't help. 

It seems it has something to do with the January Update 2019. The system is running since I bought it last summer and I chanced nothing in my network settings. 

I did also the whole FAQ from Bose:

What can I do?

Thanks for posting.

We're sorry to see Airplay is no longer working for you, but I'd be happy to help. 

Have you tried rebooting your router through all the troubleshooting you have done? Also, did you power cycle your iOS devices?

Yes I did indeed. 

• I rebooted my router
• I did the "reset", unplugging for 30sec and the hold the control button for 10 sec while powering up again.
• I reinstalled the system with the Soundtouch App
• I scaned my network and the device is nowhere to be found
• I also rebooted my iPhone

The only thing I didn't checked, would be to configure the system via Ethernetcabel, cause I don't have one at the moment. But even if this would work, I don't want to have a cable in my living room! It worked before fine.

Is there another solution?

Thanks for the update.  When you go through the factory default and set this system back up on the network, what color is the LED indicator on the back of the SoundTouch adapter?

its constanly white. No blinking, no orange color.

Can you let us know a few other details?

• Make and model of your router and any access point you may have
• What iOS device have you tested with and what iOS versions they have

I had the same issue. I tried rebooting my router, and removing and reconnecting the speaker.

In the end, I had to reset the SoundTouch 20 Portable to factory settings and add it again, before the device started showing up in Airplay destinations again.
