After updating the Soundtouch app it goes into a loop in the "searching for speakers" screen. The app was working well before the update. I downloded App version 220.127.116.116. I uninstalled and reinstalled it again to no avail.

You need to force it into finding it, I'm at work so cannot remember the proper description of the key. I think it looks like a bluetooth symbol, towards the top of the Bose remote followed by the number 9.

I'm sorry to hear this is started happening after the recent update.
What systems do you currently have? Have you tried with another device to see if you are able to detect the SoundTouch systems? Can you test by unplugging your router from power for 30 seconds?
