So I have a Lifestyle 535 and a Soundtouch 30, both on the local Wifi. When I open the soundtouch app on my phone, everything connects fine. When I open the soundtouch app on my windows computer, it only sees the Soundtouch 30 since the update. I have tried reinstalling and rescanning the network to no avail. Is there anything in particular I could do to help this? Brian Andrus
Hi brianandrus, Since both systems appear on your phone app we know that the Lifestyle 535 has a good connection to your network and to the internet for streaming. Since this problem only shows up with the app on your computer, we can assume that this is a local detection issue for that machine. Let's look at the following:
Does your computer connect by Ethernet or Wi-fi?
Does your home have any additional Wi-fi hardware to increase the range? (Extenders, repeaters, access points etc.)
If the connection is by Ethernet, are there any additional switches/hubs/etc. running in-line between the computer and the router?
Just to be safe, please also make sure to reset the Lifestyle 535 by unplugging power to it for a full minute. Test for detection on the computer after this, as this can clear up small software errors.
