Spotify (Premium) constantly pausing/stopping music

Hi All!

 

Searched our forum, but it seems its already in the archive.  Anyway, is there a fix to this problem already?  Our SoundTouch 10 (Stereo pair) contantly pausing and stopping music.

Hello astph, 

 

Thanks for confirming. 

 

Can you please try the following and report back if the dropouts still occur.

 

- Try selecting songs via the preset buttons on the speaker/remote control.

- Try selecting songs via SoundTouch application.

- Try selecting songs via the Spotify app.

- Try unpairing the two speakers, then create a new stereo pair

- Try a standard group instead of a stereo pair

- Unplug your router from power for 5 minutes, reconnect, then re-test.

 

Please also go to the settings in the SoundTouch app, to check the RSSI level of both speakers. To do this: Tap the ≡ button in the top left of the SoundTouch app > Settings > About > your speakers. You will see the RSSI level on the screen.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue you are having. 

 

Could you please confirm that it is just Spotify Premium that this is happening with? 

 

Does this also happen when you are just using the 1 speaker?

 

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the SoundTouch App, and also the latest firmware for your SoundTouch 10 speakers.

from my testing, this pausing seems only to happen when using the Soundtouch 10 in stereo pair mode.   I tried using it on group mode, no pausing occured.  What should I do next?  As I want to use my Bose ST10 on stereo pair mode.

Hi!

 

Thank you for the prompt reply!

 

What i did before reading your reply was:

 

factory reset both ST10

uninstall ST app on my Android phone, then reinstall app

set up both ST10, individually

then stereo pair again

 

so far, seems to have fixed the pausing/stopping Spotify streaming for over 8 hours now.

Forgot to add, I also uninstalled ST app on my Mac, but didn't reinstall it anymore.
