Hi @Flip McVicker,

Thank you for the post.

I can assure we passed the feedback along to add a custom URL to development as a feature request.

If you have any other ideas, let us know.

Warm Regards,

Joel

How about just backing out the downgrade, do some testing and re-release when the issues are sorted.

Re: TuneIn is replacing Internet Radio!

I believe the TuneIn Pro app allows for adding streams.

I found this feature very handy when using iTunes years ago. Shoucast didn’t provide much in the way of local radio stations in Canada. I contacted the local stations I listened to and they provided me with the streams. All worked very well.

Adding streams would be very helpful and would add to the TuneIn app’s appeal.

Can we listen to TuneIn as an integrated service as before. Or has that now become redundant
Because TuneIn is now the core service for SoundTouch?

Can we upgrade to TuneIn Pro for better fidelity?

Re: TuneIn is replacing Internet Radio!

So Bose, why remove a feature that's working and people are using?  Why can't you add TuneIn without removing Internet Radio?  I've now lost my favorite sports station because it's not on TuneIn.

I'd strongly suggest not removing features to keep your users happy!

Re: TuneIn is replacing Internet Radio!

You want suggestions?

Seems to me the most important thing for Bose to do is to give stuff real-world testing before forcing their users into major changes. Don’t assume you know what will happen - actually check it out. Oh, and if you screw up, consider admitting it, being open and honest as a company. You’d be surprised how well that can work.

In Bose’s case, maybe very surprised, since it isn’t something they have tried ...

Re: TuneIn is replacing Internet Radio!

Bose, you may want to pay attention to the competition.

Please add the ability to add Internet Radio stations by a custom URL.  Sonos includes this.

Using the Sonos App for Mac or PC:

  1. Select “Manage” and “Add Radio Station.”
  2. Paste in the streaming URL of the station you wish to add, and type in the name of the station.
  3. From the Sonos music menu, navigate to Radio by TuneIn > My Radio Stations where the newly added station will be listed.

Got the same problem, main reason for buying Bose was the internet radio.

Had 6 stations, none of them available on Tunein.

Re: TuneIn is replacing Internet Radio!

There was an option to use tunein, but the stations I wanted were on internet.

Found a app that had 2, now got to connect via Bluetooth to listen

we want a solution like sonos. Because it's more simple and no need to have another phone, computer and use bluetooth
