The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Wave soundtouch 3 not connecting to app

Hello - I have been trying to connect my wave soundtouch 3 to my network without success.  I have downloaded drivers, updated settings but it always results in a notice of the Bose app unable to connect to the app for unknown reasons. Please help! I have 2 other Bose soundtouch 10 speakers successfully connected and working.

Thank you for that update!

The solid white light does let us know that the speaker has an internet connection, so that is very useful to know.

At what point during the set up does it give you run into trouble? If it is after the point where the app asks you to name your speaker, what this usually means is the speaker is in need of an update.

To update your speaker manually, just follow the steps shown HERE. I tend to find the method using the USB cable to be the easiest and most reliable, so I would recommend trying that method first!

Re: Wave soundtouch 3 not connecting to app

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out, Sorry you're unable to connect your speaker to the SoundTouch app.

I am not aware of a Wave SoundTouch III. Can you please confirm if this is the Wave SoundTouch or the WaveSoundTouch IV?  Please use this link to help you in identifying your product model.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you very much for confirming this.

What does the LED state on the back of the SoundTouch pedestal?

Is this LED solid or flashing?

Do let us know 😊

Solid amber. I can find the unit on my home network, but the Bose app cannot connect.

Re: Wave soundtouch 3 not connecting to app

Thank you.

So this would indicate that your speaker is in set up mode and is not connected to your Home WiFi.

On your device, can you look for the WiFi network that your Wave radio is transmitting and then try to connect your speaker to the SoundTouch app?
