Xbox one X and HDR Bose Soundtouch 300

On my Xbox One X, it says that 4k is supported, but HDR is not. I have a Samsung - 82" Class (82" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range

  • Model: UN82MU8000FXZA

Which does support HDR10.

Is there a setting that I need to change on the Soundtouch 300 to make this work?

It looks like an Xbox issue since my Apple TV 4k is plugged into the same HDMI box from the TV and it shows HDR.

I did change out my cables, but it had no effect on the Xbox readout.

Thanks for the help though!

No you don't need to do anything to the ST300 , the HDMI IN can passthrough HDR10, i tested it. Make sure you connect it via an appropriate HDMI 2.0/b cable, since the one that comes along with the ST300 is only hdmi 1.3/1.4

Despite that everything else should be related to the x-box

The ST 300 has nothing to do with video and your Xbox. If you were using Lifestyle 650 that would be different scenario.

Make sure your Xbox is plugged into the HDMI port that supports HDR. Chances are all ports with that particular TV do support HDR. If that is not an issue then there may be something wrong with your TV. The Xbox 4k screen should be showing green checkmarks all down that 4k checklist.
