lifestyle 135 system purchased 2011 new

Hi, hope to get some help with my lifestyle 135. I was recently advised that I could add a soundtouch wireless adapter model 412451. Since having purchased this adapter it appears that it may not after all be compatible with my 2011,135 lifestyle system. I have tried many times to update the console following the instructions from the bose you-tube site. But when I try and upload to the usb stick, the message advises me that my system is up to date. Please can anyone help me, I'm hoping that someone somewhere has managed to find a way to update a 2011,135 lifestyle system?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the question.  If you purchased your Lifestyle 135 new back in 2011, that would mean that it is not compatible with SoundTouch.  The later versions of the 135 that are SoundTouch compatible have hardware changes that are not present in the original 135 that you have.

Hello:

A SoundTouch wireless adaptor (rectangle) won't work with your older Lifestyle system. You need the SoundTouch Wireless link adaptor (square).
