soundtouch 300 disconnecting from spotify

SoundTouch 300 plays well music using my spotify premuim account (directly via wifi). However, EVERY 20-40 the music suddenly stops and the SoundTouch light blinks for a few seconds and turns to a solid amber. Any idea how to fix it? thanks.

Hello el12345,

 

Thank you for getting back to us with your results. The software fix was deployed last week, if you open up your SoundTouch app and tap the system at the bottom tray, you should be prompted for a software update to your SoundTouch 300. The article on this recent update can be found HERE.

I meant every 20-40 minutes

I've reported this problem also, but no fix. They just blamed it on Spotify.

 

I found the bug, whilst hosting a New Years Eve party!!!!

It is not spotify becasue I have other speakers of bose and it works perfectly. the only problem is with this 300 model!

Hi mattbuk and el12345, 

 

I'm sorry to hear that you are both experiencing this. There is a bug that our software team has recently identified and is actively working toward a fix. I'm curious if it may be related to what you are experiencing. Can you log into your router and either set a static IP for your system or lengthen the DHCP lease time, then unplug the system and your router from power for 30 seconds, and re-test? Doing these steps may be a workaround. Please let us know.

Thanks Brent but it didn't work. When the sw fix will be ready? It is a very annoying bug.

Just wanted to report that I am also encountering this bug with Spotify, albeit on a SoundTouch 10.

 

The update did not fix it for me.
