Re: speaker is playing another source

Did you manage to resolve this issue? My 525 is doing the same thing.

Re: speaker is playing another source

Hi Coffeeman,

Can you try to reset the control console to see if that fixes it? Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Turn the control console off
  2. On the control console, press and hold Power for five seconds. The red LED will turn off
  3. Release the Power button
  4. Retest the system

Thank you

Re: speaker is playing another source

Hi Brent

thanks for the suggestion, however still no change.

I have: Reset the console, reset the soundtouch adapter, reset the router, all with no sucess.

Strangley enough, internet radio works most times. I can also use my Bose SA-4 amp with my other soundtouch adapter and it works fine. I can evenadd my indoor system to the group and it works fine.

After doing the various resets it works fine for a short period of time then the same message re appears. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: speaker is playing another source

Hi Scottie,

Is the SoundTouch 525 software up to date?  Can you check the firmware by going into the SoundTouch App and going to Settings>About>SoundTouch525 and reply here with the firmware version?  If it prompts you for an update, can you run that as well?

Thanks,

Brandon

Re: speaker is playing another source

This is what I have done so far.

* Reset Bose 525
* Reset sound touch adaptor on Bose 525
* Reset sound touch adaptor on SA-4
* Reset Router
* Uninstalled and re-installed Bose app
* Factory rest iPhone 7 plus
* Upgraded Spotify Premium to Spotify Faimly
* Spoken to my Bose retailer
* Spoken to Bose Helpline
* Posted on the Soundtouch forum
* Removed Spotify Account and re added to Bose app
* Checked systems all up to date. Version 15.20

Very frustrating and starting to feel a bit let down with the bose product. Any help would be appreciated. Any chance it could be a hardware issue?

Re: speaker is playing another source

The problem is the current firmware!!!! I've been posting this in another thread and Bose is ignoring me.

Since the last update my system does the same thing!

Re: speaker is playing another source

Keel82 can you please send me the link to the thread. I am in discussions with my retailer and the boss helpline in Australia. The more ammo I have to throw at them the better.

Keef82

Just a thought. Are you using Spotify? I was thinking of starting up a Deezer account to rule out it being a comparability issue between Bose and Spotify. Your thoughts please.
