Re: 12/14 Update: TuneIn/internet Radio Information

I've tried using URLs found in a working page's HTML code. I find URLs that, when pasted into another browser window, work fine, but when used with the new functionality, get chopped off at 150 characters. So Bose can't work with stream URLs longer than 150 characters.

Can the URL buffer please be extended? 256 characters should be long enough. Thanks.

Re: 11/20 Update: TuneIn/internet radio information

Happy Monday

Many folks report specific error codes and the response is generally that they are raised up to development  - great

Any chance of getting a list of common error codes and their meaning?

Judicious use of search engines, this site and TuneIn's site return zip on error code definitions

Thanks in advance

Ok, try Menu-Nastaveni-Adresa URL stream...

Put URL address and some name you want, Enter. Should be tuned and play.

URL addressess for some CRo:

http://icecast1.play.cz/cro164aac

http://icecast2.play.cz/cro2-128aac

http://icecast2.play.cz/cro3-128aac

http://icecast2.play.cz/croddur128aac

 Good luck!

Re: 01/15 Update: TuneIn/internet Radio Information

Dear Martin,

you saved not my day, but my month!!! Your post inspired me to look also for CRo Plus, and with some searching I finally have found this stream that works!!!!

http://radio.cesnet.cz:8000/cro-plus.ogg.m3u

http://radio.cesnet.cz:8000/ respectively (all Cesky rozhlas stations).

Once more, thanks a lot. I appreciate your help!

Two more stations / streams that TuneIn won't play:

WCRB - Bach

https://streams.audio.wgbh.org:8208/Bach-8108

WCRB - Boston Early Music

https://streams.audio.wgbh.org:8113/BostonEarlyMusic-8112

On the web these can be accessed at

   www.classicalwcrb.org/ways-listen

and then at the top of the page, clicking on the down arrow.

I can now receive these 2 stations and didn't have to enter their urls.

Re: 12/14 Update: TuneIn/internet Radio Information

If I am reading correctly, it seems that stations people have entered as URLs into the Bose app have magically started appearing on TuneIn.

Does this imply that this information is being logged and sent to Bose/TuneIn via the app and we are all inadvertently helping Bose/TuneIn create a huge database of station URLs?

This could be how Bose persuaded TuneIn to agree to the URL feature being added (at least in the short term) as this is doing their work for them, and more importantly creating a huge goldmine of data that can be cross-referenced with personal user data for all kinds of nefarious future marketing purposes. Or simply sold on... I do recall an initial license agreement insisting that you agree to having "usage data collected" or some such.

It also implies that once this exercise is completed, that the URL feature will be removed as fast as it appeared (through another obligatory "update") and that TuneIn will once again be your master. Why do I have this huge grim feeling that this whole debacle hasn't seen its final chapter yet...
