Audio Delay

Hi,

I just paired my Bose soundbar 700 with my computer via Bluetooth in Bose music. I found that there is significant audio delay.

Bose music's built-in adjustment audio delay settings have no effect. I also tried turning the soundbar off, turning it on, and then re-pairing. But the problem has not been solved.

Can you tell me what to do?

Sara

Re: Audio Delay

Hi Sara,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with audio delay on your Soundbar 700. I'll do all I can to assist you!

Can you tell me if you are watching a video with the audio and this is where you experience the delay?

The audio delay settings in the app are for adjustment with a TV rather than with video.

Let me know!

Re: Audio Delay

Hello bigRushBOY,

Thanks for getting back in touch.

You may experience an increase in latency if you are viewing video content. This is due to the Bluetooth transmission method which can potentially cause fluctuations in the signal. If you are watching videos, I would recommend doing this via a wired connection to achieve the best possible experience. This will also depend on the video playback source as some websites/software have built-in latency-correction that can help with this. Netflix is a notable service that tends to work better over Bluetooth.

I hope this clears things up.

Kind regards,

Jeff G

Hello BigRushBOY,

Thanks for getting back to me and confirming that.

I also need to check what sound card are you using and what connection do you have available on that sound card?

I look forward to your response.

Kind Regards,

Re: Audio Delay

Hey BigRushBOY,

Thanks for getting back to me.

A picture would be great. You can upload one by clicking the 'Upload' button underneath the reply box.

In regards to setting up the accessories for your Soundbar 700, to connect the Bass Module:

  • Connect the bass module to an AC power socket.
  • In the Bose Music app, from the My Bose screen (accessible via the headphone and speaker icon in the upper-left corner), select your soundbar.
  • Tap the soundbar image in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  • Tap Settings > Accessory Speakers > Add Bose Accessory Speakers.
  • Follow the app instructions.

To set up the Surround Speakers:

  • Connect the surround speakers to an AC power socket.

I look forward to seeing your image, let me know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Vicky W
