We cannot connect to the SoundTouch 30 in the USA (NJ). The unit stopped working about 6-months ago; have uninstalled, re-installed on both Android (Samsung) phones and the Dell laptop. The computer connects, but no Intune stations connect Error 4501. Have rebooted the Bose and the Router (Altice) multiple times. I basically have $400 worth of JUNK!
Thanks for posting and welcome to our community. We'd love to help you get back to enjoying your SoundTouch 30 speaker.
Error 4501 could appear for a number of issues, but I'd like to offer some suggestions. Your previous attempts at troubleshooting sound like a great place to start. Does this impact only TuneIn radio stations? If so, what stations do you listen to - would be interesting to try to replicate the issue on our end if they're related to a specific service or station. Additionally, do any other music services work on the speaker such as Spotify, Amazon Music, or SiriusXM?
A great step to take is also performing a quick reset of the speaker, and your internet router. To do this, simply disconnect the router from power for at least two minutes. Then, reconnect to power and allow it to fully power-on. When your other devices in the home (Android phone and Dell laptop) regain internet access, then disconnect the speaker from power. Again, leave to rest for two minutes, and reconnect back to test.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
It did not seem to matter what station we picked - they all failed out to 4501
Took the advice from @deepanker100 . He posted a solution, so all credit to him. 1) remove the speakers from the account, 2) factory reset all of them (hold the 1 button and the down volume button for 10 seconds), 3) sign out of your account in the app, 4) create a new account in the app, and then 5) add the speakers back in to the account. We did this: only tool 5.5-hrs to stumble onto this solution. VERY frustrating. Worked for several hours last evening: stopped again today, about 11:45AM EDT.
