Ceiling Speaker 791 placement & bathroom

Is it possible to have the speakers in different rooms? Or must the pairs be in the same room?

Is each speaker a "stereo speaker" on its own?

Can the speaker be in the bathroom?

I am thinking of having 2 set of pairs (4 ceiling 791 speakers) connected to SA-5 amplifier; two in the living room, but third one in the hall as standalone, and the fourth one in the bathroom. Is this recommendable?

Thanks You for feedback!

Re: Ceiling Speaker 791 placement & bathroom

Hello Anubisdemon,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.

You can certainly put the 791 speakers in separate rooms, however, please bear in mind that the SA-5 will send stereo audio to each channel. There is not the option to play mono through this amplifier, however, you may be able to set a connected source to mono.

We wouldn't actually recommend putting these speakers in your bathroom as they are not water-resistant.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Warm regards,
