Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

Hello Charlotte,

I have Sound Touch 10 speakers. There are a total of 6 in my network. In addition, I also have a Sound Touch 300 soundbar. I have experienced the problem when launching the app on my phone. I downloaded and installed IOS 13 and the volume immediately jumped to maximum. The app seems to preform normally if I launch it from my Mac Book 2012.

Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for staying active in this thread.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are all experiencing.

Can you tell me what devices you are using?

Do you get the same issue on all your speakers?

Do you experience the same issue outside of the SoundTouch Application?

I would recommend rebooting your source device as mentioned by @Charlotte_G earlier in the thread, as well as resetting your speakers by unplugging them and waiting for 30 seconds before plugging them back in.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kindest,

Jessie O

Resets and factory reinstalls don’t do a thing. Open up the Bose music app and sound touch app on a phone with iOS 13. THE VOLUME SLIDER IS ENTIRELY BUGGED RENDERING THE SPEAKERS NONFUNCTIONAL.

Fortunately for me this is not true in general. iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 13...no problem with the SoundTouch app. So instead of shouting you should start giving the information you were asked for.

Are you using a Beta version of iOS?

Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

This defect sounds similar to one I was contributing to back in February 2019.

Has this defect been investigated at Bose Corporation over the last six months?  As stated in the above discussion, I have an SA-5, so I don't have a remote control and full volume is very painful.

FWIW, I have a 3-month old baby and am very nervous about this defect.

Hello,

Thank you all for posting.

I am truly sorry that you are having this issue and would like to get to the bottom of this issue as quickly as possible.

Having tested this personally I am unable to replicate this issue, please could you provide me with the following so I can look further into this:

  • Phone model?
  • What audio source you are using?
  • Is this when the speaker first awakens?
  • What software version are you on, on the bose product?
  • Which Bose product you have?
  • Which app version do you have?

I look forward to your responses and looking further into this.

Kind Regards,

Vicky W

Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

Hello,

I am using an iphone 7 running iOS 13

Bose App Info:

Interface 23.0.0

Protocol Version 64

App Version 23.0.2

Bose Products in my Home:

6 x Bose Sound Touch 10 speakers

1 x Bose Sound Touch 300 sound bar

This volume issue happens streaming music from the Live Phish App Version 3.3.13

It also happens when playing music from my music library from my iPhone.

In addition, it also behaves this way when using Radio.com App version 8.9.10

Any insight you might be able to provide will prove helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

@Vicky_W , what version did you use when trying to reproduce this issue?

I have not had a problem with my iPhone 6s.  I'll post the version when I get home.

I have not tried my older iPhone which is 12.4.1 & iPad is 10.3.3 since February.

My SoundTouch speakers are up-to-date.  More details are on the previous discussion linked above.

Re: I just updated to IOS 13 on my phone...My soundtouch volume shot to maximum

I‘m having the same issue on my system too, not sure the neighbours are my biggest fan at the moment when I try to listen to music in bed and it jumps up super loud on my speakers!

I‘ve got a SoundTouch 20, and 2 x SoundTouch 10, all on latest firmware.

iPhone 8, iOS 13, occurs on numerous sources including RadioPlayer, Spotify & Bluetooth.

I usually use Play All and it seems to occur on the top two speakers in the list  but not the bottom one
