Re: Linux support for Bose Soundtouch App

hi @urhanjohn , thank you for your feedback! Currently the speaker selection is not really intuitive, I will try to display all found speaker on the bottom even if the speaker view is minimized. I take a look at the settings dialog with network address! I will post new releases with deb files on https://github.com/syfds/soundy/releases and https://bosedevs.bose.com/discussion/798/unofficial-gtk-client-for-linux-based-operating-systems.

Which OS are you using?

Re: Linux support for Bose Soundtouch App

Is soundy able to act as a SoundTouch node? It looks like the Soundtouch link adapter and SA-5 Amplifiers will not exist and Bose has not introduced a replacement set of products. Even the 151 speakers are no more.

Re: Linux support for Bose Soundtouch App

hi @doverosx , I'm not sure whether I understand your use case right. Soundy supports all the possibilities which are given by existing SoundTouch API. You can take a look at the existing functionality here: https://github.com/syfds/soundy

Currently I'm working on multi room pairing feature. Feel free to make feature requests or leave feedback on github.

Re: Linux support for Bose Soundtouch App

Very interesting work. I've looked through your source code and might actually be able to contribute but you've got a good handle on the API's functionality judging by what I see. I was looking at using a Linux PC, installing soundy and adding that PC as a "soundtouch device".

Judging by code that I see, this is definitely do-able.
