I have a SoundTouch Wireless Link Adapter. I also have a Windows 10 PC which does not have blue tooth. I want to send my sound to the SoundTouch through my wireless network.
I can see the SoundTouch in Media Devices from my the Windows system. How can I send music to the SoundTouch?
Thanks.
Solved! Solution.
If you want to play the sound from You tube on your computer, you need to connect the speaker output from your PC to the Aux imput from the wireless link adapter. Use the soundtouch app on your PC and choose the WLA with souce Aux and every sound your computer produces will be played. Remember there will be a delay in sound and picture. Playing audio files from your computer use the app and add source from media library.
Hi @jeffas,
Thank you for taking the time to post and welcome to the Bose Community.
I'll be happy to assist you with your SoundTouch Wireless link adapter - I apologize for any trouble you encountered so far.
So that I'm able to properly assist you, could you let me know:
What device are you trying to send music to?
What device are you planning to play the audio from?
Do you have any other SoundTouch speakers, or have you ever used the SoundTouch app?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Warm regards,

Hi Sam.
I have a Windows 10 PC and a Soundtouch Wireless Adapter connected to a very old surround sound system. I'm on vacation now, so I don't have all the details.
Hi @jeffas,
Thank you for letting me know.
Is this the first time you're using the SoundTouch WLA with your system, or have you managed to have it working before?
If this is your first time, you'll need to connect the STWLA to the SoundTouch app on your PC, to allow you to select what music you want to play through your surround system. This will require that the STWLA is put in to set up mode and then found through the app.
Steps on how to get started can be found here.
Let me know if you manage to connect your STWLA to the SoundTouch app!
Warm regards,
Sam F
Install the soundtouch app on your Windows 10 PC.

The SoundTouch works well from my cell phone. It has been for a while. The new part is my Win10 PC which does NOT have wireless networking. But it is wired to my home network.

Jeff
Hello jeffas,
This is fine. Providing that your PC is connected to the same network as your SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter, you will be able to connect and control the system.
Let me know if you have any problems with this.
Warm regards,

He Jeffas,
Your subject states through WiFi, but it doesn't matter how your PC connects to the SAME network ( as Charlotte G mentioned ) but also the network settings on your W10 should be in order. File sharing eg. In the past there where some users that had problems due to software issues caused by the soundtouch app but currently I am using an Apple OSX and a Windows 10 both wired without any problem at all. So if you are connected to the same network check the settings and grand the ST app permissions in you firewall.

Rob
Hi Sam.
I have the SoundTouch App installed. I can stream music from Pandora, from my cell phone, etc. I want to stream music direct (or indirect) from my PC. So, for example, if I was watching a YouTube video and want to hear the sound through my SoundTouch.
Thanks.
Jeff
