I am having this exact issue as well. I have the soundbar 300 and two soundtouch 10's Using the app to stream. It first reset speakers and deleted and reloaded the app. Issue persisted. The issue is only with Spotify but works fine with Pandora. I think this is a software issue so doubt running down internet connectivity is the issue. Had to stop using Spotify altogether because it got so annoying.
Also run the HEOS app on a different system for a Denon receiver and spotify works fine. So my money is on bose app issue.
