If the ST speaker supports AirPlay 2, it should be possible to stream to both platforms. Works for music services Apple Music, Spotify, ... no need for using the Bose apps

Re: Soundtouch and Home Speaker - compatibility

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out.

Regrettably it is not possible to connect SoundTouch speakers to our Bose Smart Home products, this is because the speakers utilise different applications.

There may be some upgrade options available to you for your SoundTouch speakers, if you reach out to your local product support team an agent here will be able to talk through what options are available to you. You can reach out to your local support team via clicking this link and selecting your region, this will redirect you to our website. Please scroll to the bottom of the website and there you will find a 'Contact Us' tab, this will provide you with all the relevant contact information for your country.

Thank you.

Re: Soundtouch and Home Speaker - compatibility

Thanks for the prompt reply.

This means it's not possible to stream music to soundtouch and home speaker devices, regardless of the app or music service being used?

Re: Soundtouch and Home Speaker - compatibility

This is correct, you use the app in order to group your speakers together. As these devices utilise different apps this will not be possible.

Soundtouch 10

Dear all,

I know this topic has been discussed hundreds of times, nevertheless I need confirmation that the Soundtouch speakers are compatible with the Smart Speakers and the portable Soundlink speakers.

I know they run on two different apps, but is it possible to connect all of these speakers through the Spotify App and Airplay 2? And what is the quality (e.g. reliability and time lag)?

Thanks so much!
