Soundtouch app will not install on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1

My existing Soundtouch app on my MacBook pro requires to be updated to the latest version.  However, when I've downloaded the latest version SoundTouch-app-installer-26.0.0-3251-ff6a93d.dmg from https://downloads.bose.com/ced/soundtouch/soundtouch_controller_app/index.html

I get the following message "

“SoundTouch-osx-installer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."

The installation fails and will not let me run the previously installed version.

I've found a way to override the Apple s/w check.  Go to security & privacy in the settings app, and enable the app to 'Open anyway'.  Now successfully installed.

Possibly a future option for Bose to consider.

Re: Soundtouch app will not install on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1

Does Big Sur allow you to override the security prompts to get around the installation of the soundtouch app? I was afraid that Big Sur had security measures that would not allow it.
