Spotify won’t play via Soundtouch app. Soundtouch 10 not visible via Spotify app

IPad 6th gen and IPhone XR

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

Spotify won’t play via Soundtouch app. Music is visible but nothing happens when play is pressed.

via Spotify app, the Soundtouch 10 speaker is no longer visible on list.

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

Living room, nothing unusual.

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

Has worked fine until today. Occasional previous need to reconnect the speaker, usually that works. Not today.

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Reconnect speaker to WiFi several times.

log out of Spotify via Soundtouch app.

Tune in Radio plays fine using WiFi via Soundtouch speaker

Now fixed.

 

unplugged power for 2 mins, plugged back in and Spotify now plays form both its own app and the Soundtouch app.
