TV audio stopped working on Sound bar 500 TV

Hi,

 

my soundbar 500 stopped working with Samsung TV. It has been working over past couple of years but it suddenly stopped working.

 

tried replacing the HDMI cable, did a factory reset and reconfigured and also have the latest firmware installed as well.

 

appreciate all the help in advance

Hello RJK and welcome to the Community! Sorry to hear that you are having audio issues with your soundbar via HDMI. 

I would recommend that you try a HDMI reset to get the audio back to the soundbar. You can follow these steps: 

  1. Turn off the soundbar and the TV and unplug both from power.
  2. Leave both devices unplugged for at least 3 minutes. 
  3. After 3 minutes plug the soundbar into power but leave your TV unplugged.
  4. Once the soundbar stops pulsing white, press the TV icon on your soundbar remote. 
  5. Now plug your TV into power, turn on and test for audio.
