Volume Jumps Very High on SoundTouch Speaker with Spotify and Android

I saw a recent similar post about someone with volume jumping high on an iPhone 11.  

I'm having a similar problem with Spotify and my Bose SoundTouch speaker.  If I leave the Spotify app and come back into it, the volume will jump very high on the Bose speaker.  Then I have to reduce it. 

Android version of Spotify:  8.5.28.985

Happens both with a Motorola phone and a Samsung tablet.

Anyone else experiencing this?  It just started happening and never has happened prior to the last update.

That's very strange that you are experiencing the volume jumping when using Spotify, this is not the expected behavior at all. I am more than happy to help you out with this today, we can go through some troubleshooting to try to resolve this. Let's start by resetting the speaker and deleting then re-downloading the Spotify app. Could you please tell me which SoundTouch speaker you have so I can provide more accurate information? Are you using the SoundTouch app?

To reset your product:

• Turn off your product and disconnect the power cord for 30 seconds.
