Welcome to the Bose Community! We are very sorry to hear that you are having some activation issues with your Soundbar 500.
Let's start with performing a reset on the Soundbar 500 by following these steps below:
Power off your system
Disconnect the power cord from the soundbar
If the accessory bass module or surround speakers are connected, disconnect the power cords from those also
When power is reconnected, wait 30 seconds for the system to reboot.
I would also recommend testing a different device to see if the same issue persists. Please also ensure that the Bose Music app is up to date on all devices.
