Robotic Voice on calls (MacOS)

This has been a problem for years now. Very intermittently and randomly, either my voice or other people's voices on calls will suddenly sound robotic and barely understandable. Sometimes the robot voice will last for several seconds and then disconnect making it feel like a connection issue. I can confirm this happens quite often on Zoom calls. I am not sure if it happens on other video apps or listening to music.

It seems to only happen on mac (not iPad) and is incredibly frustrating to randomly turn into a robot on a professional call.

Will this ever be fixed? I am on the latest version 3.0.3.
