SoundWear Companion compatibility with TableTop Microphones for Hard of Hearing

Hello Community,

This is my first post in any type of community so will try my best.

I am writing on behalf of my father-in-law who suffers from tinitus among other hearing problems. He is approaching 75 and I'm taking on the task to help restore some quality of life lost due to these issues.

At home, he has the Phonak Roger Select with ComPilotII. This is a microphone and receiver/transmitter. We connected this to his hearing aid, but due to a multitude of factors (comfort, quality, volume) the hearing aids themselves have now been replaced with the Bose Soundwear Companion. Unfortunately, we are having real trouble making a connection between the Phonak Roger (the microphone) and the Bose Soundwear (the headset). I understand this runs with Bluetooth but I am looking to the power of the community for help.

Should these items (in theory) connect and work together?
How do we make a connection between these two items?

If these items do not connect, what devices would be compatible as a table top microphone/receiver with the Soundwear Companion?

Your support is greatly appreciated,

Mr.Whyatt
