Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

I would like to replace the crossover components with higher quality parts and eliminate the protection circuit. Does anyone have any experience with this and can help or share the crossover values? I do have experience building speakers/crossovers but have always bought the components in kit form for the ease of determining crossover points and parts.

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)
