Bose 901 iv to power amp

I own a Marantz SR7005 and just recently purchased a pair of Bose 901 IV. I've done a lot of looking around on the best way to be able to run the equalizer with the Marantz receiver. It sounds like i would need a power amp. Im looking for power amps to buy, but i am kinda confused about what exactly the inputs im looking for on the back of the power amp to be compatible with the 901 IV equalizer. Also do i need a pre amp in order to make this all work or does my marantz receiver serve as the pre amp?

Re: Bose 901 iv to power amp

Yes, you can use the 901's with your receiver. You do not need tape monitor jacks (in & out) to use the Bose 901's with modern stereos. Just buy a $20 switcher: RCA or GE Pro 4-Device Audio/Video Switch available through Wal-Mart and on line. The Bose equalizer plugs into the switcher and then you can choose up to 4 devices to play (CD, FM radio, computer, Sirus/XM radio, etc.).
